How to Get Listed?
Easy as 1, 2, 3!
Step One: Create an Account
Any campus official representing intercollegiate athletics and/or collegiate recreation programs at the college/university may take the online assessment. More than one campus official can create an account representing either or both programs. Select accordingly when you create an account in order to more effectively respond to the questions. The individual(s) should be knowledgeable of LGBTQ sports issues and, or able to represent sports in a professional capacity.
Step Two: Take Assessment
Once the account is approved, the campus official(s) first must complete the basic campus profile and basic sports profile. Then you will be able to download the Campus Pride Sports Index questions to review. It is the responsibility of the campus official(s) to manage the completion of the index tool consisting of 50+ self-assessment questions, which correspond to five different LGBTQ-Friendly sports factors. Half of the questions deal with intercollegiate athletics and the other half with collegiate recreation. Campus Pride encourages a team approach in completing the assessment tool (including athletes, coaches, staff, administrators). Remember that you can save your responses and return to complete the index as many times necessary at your convenience.
Step Three: Review Results
The campus official receives a confidential report of the index tool responses along with results and recommendations. Public users may search a basic sports profile with limited results once both the intercollegiate athletics and the collegiate recreation sections have been completed; however, a sports program may also opt out of sharing information online.
Do you want to preview the Campus Pride Sports Index questions? First, create an account and then you will be able to download the questions after completing the basic sports profile. You will have plenty of time to do so prior to taking the assessment tool. Thank you.
